THE STORY OF:
Er Jie Curry Puff
Er Jie 娥姐 was once an ordinary housewife who started preparing snacks for her friends who were also housewifes while waiting for her kids to return home from school. Due to the encouragement from her friends, she set up her own business from selling Nasi Lemak to now the most talked about curry puffs in town.
Started from a tuck away corner shop at Selegie in 1999, Er Jie moved to Kelantan and is currently at Golden Mile Tower. Her children then started the second outlet at ARC 380, following the mother’s secret recipe of more than 20 years.
All curry puffs are made from scratch and by the a la minute. Kneading and rolling the pastry dough, shaping the puff and frying it—it’s all done by hand, hence the freshness of the ingredients can be felt through every bite.
