Tai Chong Kok

Some things never change. At Chop Tai Chong Kok, they have been making mooncakes and traditional Cantonese pastries the same way since 1935—from scratch and by hand. For generations they have used only premium ingredients to produce authentic Cantonese confections. Their mooncakes are renowned for their genuine taste of tradition. They are one of the very few bakeries left in Singapore that still produce our fresh lotus paste by hand using 100% pure lotus seeds with no preservatives added, and these fill mooncakes that are formed in the same traditional wooden moulds used at the original Sago Street store in Chinatown more than 80 years ago. Today, you can still bring home their mooncakes in stringed brown paper bags, just as our forefathers did in pre-war Singapore.

Tai Chong Kok is also famed for their traditional Chinese wedding cakes, soft flour cakes and other Cantonese confections. Their products are handmade and baked daily in Singapore using time-honoured recipes and quality ingredients with full conformity to stringent quality standards of AVA, HACCP and BizSafe 3.
